Tom has an extensive and successful career as an operating executive focused on building, growing, and leading food and consumer goods businesses.

Prior to joining Entrepreneurial Equity Partners, Tom was CEO and President of Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN). Tyson is the largest U.S. food company with more than $40 billion in annual revenue. At Tyson, Tom led 122,000 team members and familiar brands including Tyson®, Jimmy Dean®, Hillshire Farm® and Ball Park®. During his tenure as President of Tyson he introduced a new corporate brand, purpose, global growth strategy and approach to sustainability while recruiting a new best-in-class leadership team. In addition, Tom led five acquisitions totaling nearly $7 billion in transaction value including Advance Pierre Foods (NYSE: APFH) and Keystone Foods. Prior to Tyson, Tom was the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Hillshire Brands and Sara Lee and has held significant leadership roles at US Foods, ConAgra, and Kraft.

Tom earned a BA from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Northwestern University.
